Woman docked over alleged malicious damage

A 40-year-old woman, Deborah Olaleye was, on Wednesday, arraigned in a Modakeke Magistrates’ Court in Osun over alleged malicious damage.

Olaleye was facing a count charge of malicious damage, an offence she denied committing.

The Magistrate, Mrs Bose Awosan, granted the accused N40, 000 bail with one surety in like sum.

The case was adjourned until October 23, for hearing.

The Prosecutor, Sgt. Ona Glory, had told the court that the accused committed the offence on Aug 28 at Akala village via Modakeke-Ife.

Glory said that the accused damaged cocoa trees, kola nut trees, and a boundary pillar, all valued at valued N50, 000, property of one Adesola Ologbin.

The offence contravened Section 45 of the Criminal Code, Laws of Osun, 2003. (NAN)
