The WIMBIZ London Conference 2024 has concluded, marking a successful gathering of influential leaders, entrepreneurs, and professionals from various sectors.
Held at the Royal Nation Hotel, 38-51 Bedford Way, London, United Kingdom, on the 27th of July 2024. This year’s conference was themed “Next Level: Succeeding Beyond Borders,” focusing on building connections in a crowded world and empowering women to navigate and thrive in diverse business landscapes. The event saw participation from physical delegates from eight countries, highlighting its international impact and reach.
The event began with a vibrant introduction by anchors Juliana Olayinka, Journalist & Broadcaster, and Nonny Patricia Ugboma, Executive Director of Nondunna Limited. They welcomed everyone to the conference, with Juliana encouraging attendees to engage in networking. A video highlight of last year’s WIMBIZ London Conference was also showcased, setting the stage for this year’s discussions.
Bisi Adeyemi, Chairman of the Board of Trustees, WIMBIZ, delivered a stirring welcome address. She emphasised that the plenary sessions aim at women’s growth and advancement, declaring, “The WIMBIZ London Conference theme is a call to action. Let us learn together, grow together.” She also expressed her appreciation for the planning committee’s efforts.
Kola Karim, CEO of Shoreline Energy International, the keynote speaker delivered a powerful speech highlighting the importance of passion, resilience, and seizing opportunities. In his remarks, he encouraged the women by saying “When the strength of your passion is limitless, the strength of the boundaries you would be able to break will also be limitless.” His speech resonated deeply with the audience, emphasising personal responsibility and strategic action.
The WIMBIZ London Conference 2024 featured dynamic plenary sessions that inspired participants to adopt new strategies and pursue continuous learning. Discussions covered building connections in complex business environments, wealth management and financial planning, balancing career and family life, and the transformative potential of AI in business. These sessions energised participants, motivating them to implement new strategies, pursue continuous learning, and foster collaboration in their own endeavours.
Dr. Adeola Azeez and Bola Adesola, co-founders of WIMBIZ, both emphasized crucial aspects of personal and professional growth. Dr. Azeez focused on the necessity of overcoming mental barriers, continuous learning, and collaboration to achieve success and uplift others. Complementing this, Bola Adesola highlighted the importance of setting clear boundaries to maintain control and balance in one’s life. Together, their insights underscored a unified message: achieving success and fostering growth requires both mental resilience and effective personal management.
