Stella Okafor, the widow of late Nollywood actor John Okafor, better known as Mr Ibu, has addressed the controversies surrounding the sale of her husband’s properties.
Stella came under public scrutiny after her recent appeal for financial assistance, and reacting to allegations of selling her late husband’s properties, she disclosed that it was not her decision.
In an interview with content creator King Mitchy, Stella revealed that Mr Ibu’s properties were sold by the family to raise money for the funeral.
She said she acted alongside two of the actor’s sons, Valentine and Daniel Okafor, in selling the Enugu land for N17 million.

“That land that was sold in Enugu, three of us sold that land because of the burial. It was N17 million. Go and ask the children,” Stella shared.
“We sold the house. I am not the one who sold the house. We sold the house,” she added.
Stella was recently seen in an online video soliciting financial aid as she claimed she and her children had been without electricity for two months.
She also complained about the children being sent home from school over unpaid fees, with her plea generating more than N7 million in donations.
