Dolly Ifeyinwa Nwaduba, the CEO of Dolly’s Signature Ltd. and Nollyplug TV, has proven that celebrities can be more than just faces on screen.
The actress and producer recently launched a charitable initiative to support struggling families in the community, a heartwarming gesture that shines a spotlight on the compassionate side of the entertainment industry.
Nwaduba’s philanthropic efforts were unveiled as she gears up for the release of her latest film, “Drawn to You.”
“My movie is going to the streaming platform, and once it’s there, these people are the ones who would painstakingly spend their hard-earned money to subscribe. So, I wanted to find a way to give back, especially given the current economic difficulties. I thought it would be meaningful to help ease some of the financial strain on families preparing for the new school year,” she told Saturday Sun.
Nwaduba also shared her connection to the initiative. “Growing up, my aunt always provided for me, but I never had the chance to have a new school bag frequently. I know how much a simple thing like a new school bag can mean to a child. I wanted to give others the same joy I once sought.”
The distribution of school supplies, rice, and other essential items is a timely intervention, especially as families grapple with the economic pressures of the new school year.
