The North Central Zonal Youth Coordinator of the City Boy Movement (CBM), Hon. Suleiman Abubakar Magaji has explained the reasons behind his participation in the recent delegation to the United Kingdom in support of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.

Magaji said his decision to join the delegation was driven by the need to engage Nigerians in the diaspora, promote a positive image of the country internationally, and mobilise support for President Tinubu’s re-election bid ahead of the 2027 general elections.

According to him, the visit provided an opportunity to strengthen ties between the administration’s supporters at home and Nigerians living abroad while also highlighting ongoing reforms and development efforts under Tinubu’s leadership.

“I joined the delegation to demonstrate our commitment to supporting President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and to connect with Nigerians in the diaspora who remain critical stakeholders in nation-building,” Magaji said.

He added that diaspora engagement has become increasingly important in shaping national discourse, attracting investment opportunities, and fostering unity among Nigerians across different regions.

During the UK visit, Magaji was seen alongside other prominent members of the City Boy Movement, including the group’s patron, Seyi Tinubu; Director-General Francis Shoga; Diaspora Coordinator Prince Bidemi Akintunde; and Women Leader UmmuSalma Rabiu.

Also present at various engagements were the movement’s National Women Leader, entertainment personality Cubana Chief Priest, as well as representatives associated with the Energy Commission and the Director of CBM UK.

Sources within the movement disclosed that the delegation held meetings and interactive sessions with Nigerians in the diaspora aimed at strengthening grassroots mobilisation, encouraging civic participation, and building momentum ahead of future electoral activities.

Magaji noted that beyond political mobilisation, the trip also focused on showcasing Nigeria’s potential and fostering strategic partnerships that could enhance the country’s global image.

He reaffirmed the movement’s commitment to youth inclusion, diaspora collaboration, and sustained advocacy in support of policies and programmes being implemented by the Tinubu administration.

Observers say the growing involvement of diaspora-based supporters reflects a broader political strategy to leverage international networks and influence public perception as preparations gradually begin for the 2027 elections.
