When Nigerian businessman Eugin Joachin speaks about Africa’s creative industry, it is clear he is not just talking about business, he is talking about a lifelong passion.

With over two decades in the photographic equipment industry, Joachin and his partners has seen it all: the struggles of photographers sourcing gear, the frustration of entertainers waiting months for sound systems, the disappointment of filmmakers forced to settle for substandard equipment. Now, with CameraHubs, Joachin says he is ready to change the game.

Launching on December 1st, 2025, CameraHubs is a marketplace designed to connect African buyers directly with trusted manufacturers and distributors of cameras, audio gear, and stage lighting. According to Joachin, the idea was born out of necessity. “I have spent decades watching African creatives face the same challenges. They have the ideas, the skills, and the hunger, but not the tools. It breaks my heart to see talent wasted because people could not afford or access quality equipment. That is why CameraHubs was born,” he explained.
Unlike traditional platforms, CameraHubs allowing buyers to compare multiple shops and purchase directly.

“This is about giving power back to the creative,” Joachin said. “Why should a content creator pay double the price for a camera just because they depend only in one shop It is unfair, and we are putting an end to it.”
Joachin insists CameraHubs is more than a marketplace. “We are building an ecosystem where professionals can learn, grow, and connect,” he said “Our plans include providing access to after-sales services with manufacturer support, tutorials and training for buyers, photography fairs and expos to showcase the latest innovations”.

For Joachin, the goal is not just to sell, but to empower. “This is about Africa telling its own stories with the right tools. Without the right gear, even the best talent cannot shine. We want to remove that barrier.”
Experts say the potential impact could be huge. Africa’s creative industries are already a major driver of growth. Nollywood alone is worth billions, Afrobeats has gone global, and social media has turned many into international influencers.

As the launch date approaches, excitement is building. Joachin and his team are preparing for a wave of registrations from both buyers and sellers.

“CameraHubs is not the end of the journey,” Joachin concluded. “It is just the beginning. The future of African creativity is bright, and we want to look back and say, we was part of Africa’s creative revolution.”
