WBF World Title Fight in Nigeria postponed

WBF World Title Fight

Organisers of the earlier scheduled WBF World Title Fight in Port Harcourt, Zeus Sports and Entertainment, have apologised to the general public for the postponement of the event, which was billed to take place last month citing multiple reasons.

In a statement by the CEO, Emmanuel Emenogu, Zeus Sports cited injuries to some main event fighters, visa delays affecting boxers and guests arriving from various parts of the world, as well as other logistical challenges, as reasons for the “difficult” decision to postpone the fight.

Explaining the delay in announcing the postponement, Zeus Sports stated that they initially believed the challenges could be resolved in time for the event to proceed as planned. However, the obstacles proved more significant than anticipated.

The statement also announced that the event will still take place with the addition of two more title belts: the WBF Heavyweight African Title and the IBO Intercontinental Title, adding that a new date and venue will be communicated soon.
