The Voice of the people 90.3 FM DJ, DJ Maya, real name Jeremiah Onyeka has won the Icon’s most dynamic DJ of the year award. The award which was held at Oriental Hotel, Victoria Island Lagos was organised by Great Emerald Multi Services.According to the organisers,Icons noble award is an annual event to recognise and appreciate personalities,co-operate bodies,organisations, professionals and celebrities who have distinguished themselves in different areas of human endeavour.
They said that 2022 is the 7th edition of the award and that the theme of this year is honouring emerging icons.
Speaking further,they said that Dee Jee Maya was selected for his creativity on the consul and microphone as well as for his efforts at encouraging and supporting youths to go into the disc jockeys business.They said that over the years Maya had single handedly organised events like battle of the mic, rap battle, Maya dance battle,Maya Mic Beast among others.In his response Dee Jee Maya expressed appreciation for the recognition.He said that it would encourage him to do more.
