British broadcaster Piers Morgan has highlighted three of Cristiano Ronaldo’s biggest achievements with Portugal following the forward’s retirement from international football.
Morgan’s remarks came after Ronaldo announced his decision to end his career with the Portuguese national team.
The 41-year-old’s retirement follows his recent suspension by the Portuguese Football Federation over his reported walkout from the team’s camp during the Nations League.
Reacting, Morgan, a die-hard fan of Ronaldo, also labelled the Al-Nassr forward as the greatest footballer of all time, GOAT.
“Cristiano Ronaldo announces his retirement from international football in an emotional and heartfelt video,” Morgan wrote.
“He played the most games ever (234).
He scored the most goals ever (146).
He led Portugal to their only major trophies (3). He is the GOAT. Congrats @Cristiano.”
