From Stanley Uzoaru, Owerri
The Imo Progressives Movement (IPM), on Sunday, concluded its fourth National Executive Council (NEC) meeting in Owerri, with a communiqué that hailed Governor Hope Uzodimma’s six‑year tenure as a “renaissance” for the state, and declared Imo “economically stronger” than at any point in its history.
In the communique read by IPM National Convener and House of Representatives member, Eugene Dibiagwu, the group said it had toured projects across the three senatorial zones and verified more than 130 road constructions, rehabilitations.

It also pointed to the newly built Emmanuel Iwuanyanwu International Conference Centre, which he noted now positions Owerri as a hub for national and international events. The IPM also highlighted achievements in health and education.
The communiqué further celebrated Imo’s second‑place finish in the APC national e‑registration exercise, attributing the result to the visible impact of Uzodimma’s projects. It concluded with a warning to “political nuisances” and a pledge to continue mobilising support for the governor’s agenda.
“Governor Uzodimma has turned Imo from a state of decay into one of pride and possibility,” Dibiagwu said. “His leadership sets a benchmark for governance across Nigeria.”
