The Imo State Governor, Hope Uzodimma, has appointed 27 sole administrators to oversee the affairs of the local government councils.
A statement by the Commissioner for Information, Public Orientation, and Strategy, Declan Emelumba, said they would pilot the affairs of the local governments until the conduct of credible local government elections in the next 60 days.
The SOLADs are Okoroike Chika (Isiala Mbano), Dr. Obi Emeka (Onuimo), Sir Acho Asiegbu (Okigwe), Obioma Ehirim (Obowo), Chief Uche Nwodu (Ehime Mbano), Chukwuma Godson Onyema (Ihitte Uboma), Okwaraigwe Nnamdi (Oru East), Ibekaeme Friday (Orsu), Isaiah Chinedu Ezeogu (Orlu), Dr. Abiaziem Chima (Oguta), Ikenna Adikibe (Oru West), Chief Onyeaju Princewill (Ohaji/Egbema), Chief Paul Duru (Nwangele), Chief Kenneth Ukah (Isu), Odunze Ajaero (Nkwerre), Anaemem Obikaeze (Njaba), Okechukwu Okwara (Ideato South) and Ozigbo Michael (Ideato North).
Others are Larry Obinna Chikwe (Ahiazu Mbaise), Nwachukwu Chinedum A (Ezinihitte Mbaise) Nwanegwo Ifunanya (Mbaitoli), Justice Nzeh (Ikeduru), Chief Nnamdi Anyanwu (Aboh Mbaise), Kizito Onuoha (Ngor Okpala) Nwankwo Victor (Owerri West), Chidiebere Emeribe (Owerri Municipal), and Lucky Abaronye (Owerri North).
The appointments are with immediate effect.
The latest appointees would be the third set of sole administrators to oversee the affairs of the 27 local governments councils.
Governor Uzodimma took office on January 15, 2020, assuring that the LG election would be conducted by the Imo State Independent Electoral Commission (ISIEC).
