The Paramount ruler of the Tiv nation, Tor Tiv, HRM Orcivirigh Prof James Ayatse, has, on behalf of Tiv Area Traditional Council, Tiv nation and the Benue State Council of Traditional Rulers, congratulated his son, Prof Joseph Utsev on his appointment as a minister of the federal republic of Nigeria.
Utsev, who was sworn in along side others, was appointed as Minister for Water Resources and Sanitation by the President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
The Tor Tiv who stressed that the appointment of Prof Utsev was a manifestation of the age long axiom that the youths are leaders of tomorrow said his position has renewed the hope of the Benue people concerning the dredging of River Benue.
He commended President Tinubu’s wisdom in involving the youths in his administration even as he assured Nigerians of the ability of Prof Joseph Utsev to deliver considering his past leadership prowess in the key appointments he held previously.
The To Tiv observed that “his deployment to the Ministry of Water Resources and Sanitation as a Water Engineer, was a case of square peg in square hole, adding that this has further renewed the dreams and hopes for the dredging of the Benue River.
He said “the Tiv nation is proud to identify with the honorable minister and will give him maximum support to positively contribute to the reforms embarked upon by President Tinubu for one united and peaceful Nigeria.”
