Students and schools are showcasing the scores of the 2026 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) results.
The highest UTME results seemed by Daily Sun is 363 by a male student in a private school.
Trending online, schools are celebrating the outstanding performance of their students in the 2026 UTME while some candidates are lamenting about the low scores they obtained in the matriculation exam.
Three students of Nigerian Tulip International College (NTIC), Abuja, are among those trending for their outstanding performance in the matriculation exam with scores of 365, 359 and 351.
The highest UTME score trending is that of Adeiza Ismail Bashir of NTIC with a score of 365, made up of English 71, Mathematics 98, Physics 98 and Chemistry 98.
Adeiza’s school shared his near-perfect score on social media, celebrating academic performance. The school post caught the attention of Nigerians, who praised his accomplishment and congratulated him.
“This near-perfect performance in the core science subjects contributed significantly to his aggregate score of 365. The school described it as “smashing the 2026 UTME” and proof that “excellence is the only standard,” the school noted.
Another NTIC student, Tijjani Ahmed El Yaqub, scored 351 in the matriculation exam. He got English 71, Mathematics 94, Chemistry 87 and Physics 94.
Celebrating his unique feat, the school said: “Huge congratulations to Adeiza Ismail Bashir for smashing the 2026 UTME with a phenomenal score of 365! With an incredible 98 in Math, Physics, and Chemistry, he’s proving that excellence is the only standard. The future is bright.”
Also, one of the top scorers trending currently is Ogbeide Richard Osarunense of Deeper Life High School with 363 (English 69, Mathematics 98, Physics 98 and Chemistry 98.
A candidate, Abba Hussaini Dauda of NTIC, scored 359, made up of English 71, Mathematics 97, Physics 94 and Chemistry 98).
“Meet Abba Hussaini Dauda, who achieved an outstanding aggregate score of 359 in the 2026 UTME. An incredible performance that reflects hard work, discipline, and academic excellence. Massive congratulations,”says online post.

Another whiz kid, Suleiman Sufyan Onimisi obtained 347, which are as follows, English 57, Mathematics 98, Physics 94 and Chemistry 98.
A science student, Uzodigwe Chidiogo Cynthia got 351, made up of English 88, Biology 90, Physics 81 and Chemistry 91.
In an online post, Uzodigwe admitted that she did believe she would perform well in the UTME. She added that there were days she felt like quitting, but kept pushing. The candidate said her result is a reminder that hard work paid off.
“I honestly didn’t think I would do well in JAMB. The stress, sleepless a night, reading past questions over and over, wasn’t easy at all. There were days I felt like giving up but I kept pushing. Seeing this result, just remind me that hard work actually pays off. If you’re still preparing May exam, don’t stop, you can do it,” Uzodigwe stated.
Head Boy of Riyad Saliheen College scored 326. Two students of Isaac Newton School, Ogun State, obtained 348 and 343 in the UTME.
A candidate, Olamide scored 328, which are English 71, Mathematics 98, Physics 88 and Chemistry 71.
He explained online that he had sleepless nights preparing for the examination and was grateful that his efforts were not in vain. He wrote, “I am so grateful. All the sleepless nights weren’t in vain. Thank you Lord.”
Oriaku Esther Adams, obtained 325, made up of English 61, Mathematics 96, Physics 84 and Chemistry 84. She said: “I did my best and I left the rest for God. He didn’t disappoint me. Up next, WAEC.”
A student who was scared about getting a poor result in the UTME shared his impressive performance. A screenshot showed the candidate, identified as Jason Eromosele, scored 74 in English, 85 in Mathematics, 81 in Physics, and 89 in Chemistry, bringing the total aggregate to 329.
Last week the Board denied a story trending online about a post, which claimed a candidate scored 394 in the just concluded 2026 UTME.
Major features in the 2026 UTME top scorers like previous years are the dominance of private/missionary school students with high scores and dominating the top ten highest scores.
Recalled that 2.2million candidates wrote the UTME from April 16th to 25th in over 950 CBT centres.
No date has been fixed by the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) for the Joint Consultative Meeting on Admission between heads of tertiary institutions and the Board to discuss the 2026/2027 admission cut-off marks.
