D.E.T Services, one of the fastest growing agrotech companies in Nigeria, has been commended for its efforts in using technology to increase food production and reducing the impact of COVID-19 on the country’s agricultural sector.

The United States Agency for International Development (USAID) programme specialist, Susan Oranye, gave this commendation during a visit to the company’s operational site located in Ogidi, Akaeze, Ebonyi State recently.

While highlighting important ways to improve farm management practices of rural farmers in Nigeria, Oranye urged the D.E.T team members to keep increasing their work force and outreach to farmers, especially as they are helping them reduce the stress of labour, reduce wastage of input and increase their profitability.

In his remark, the Managing Director, D.E.T Services, Onyekachi Michael, reiterated his determination to continue his activities with the farmers in Abia and Ebonyi States. He added that the effort would be replicated in other states in the Southeast and the country in general.
