UNN VC lauds Victor Nnam’s contributions to Geoinformatics, Surveying

The Vice Chancellor of the University of Nigeria, Nsukka (UNN), Professor Charles Igwe, has paid glowing tribute to the former Enugu State Commissioner for Lands and Urban Development Dr. Victor Nnam, for his selfless service and pioneering contributions to the university community.

Following his resignation from the Commissioner position, Dr. Nnam chose to lecture without pay, aiming to share his extensive experience in land administration with the society.

The Vice Chancellor, in the commendation letter hailed Nnam for his exceptional service, adding that his willingness to share his knowledge has enriched the university.

The letter reads: “On behalf of the University management, I am writing to express my heartfelt commendation and appreciation for your exceptional service as a volunteer senior lecturer in the Department of Geoinformatics and Surveying. Your dedication, expertise, and commitment to academic excellence have significantly impacted our students and faculty.

“Your selfless contribution to teaching, mentoring, and research has been exemplary, and your passion for geoinformatics and surveying has inspired a new generation of scholars.

“Your willingness to share your knowledge and experience has enriched our academic community, and we are grateful for your tireless efforts. Your contributions have made a lasting impact, and we look forward to continued collaboration and partnership.

“Please accept my sincere appreciation for your outstanding service to our university. Congratulations once again on this well-deserved recognition.”

Responding, Dr. Victor Nnam thanked the university leadership for the honour, noting that the gesture will spur him to contribute more to the society.

Nnam’s notable contributions extend beyond his academic roles, as he has also been a pivotal figure in the development and implementation of innovative strategies within the university.

As an authority in the field of surveying and lands administration, as well as an established estate developer, his work has fostered a more enriched learning environment, benefiting both students and staff.
