UNN: Prof Ezeokonkwo named Acting VC

Prof Romanus Ezeokonkwo – the incumbent Deputy Vice Chancellor, Admin, has been elected the Acting Vice Chancellor of the University of Nigeria, Nsukka (UNN).

In an election contested by the three deputy Vice Chancellors on the floor of the Senate at its 422nd Session , Professor Ezeokonkwo polled 200 votes, while Prof Johnson Urama- DVC Academic and Prof Dan Nwachukwu- DVC UNEC, polled 180 & 25 votes respectively.

The position of the VC of the UNN became vacant after the 15th VC, Prof Charles Igwe FAS completed his five-year tenure and took a bow.
