The UNIOSUN Teaching Hospital , Osogbo has assured of quality health care delivery for the people of Osun State and Nigerians at large.
The newly appointed Chief Medical Director (CMD) of the teaching hospital, Dr Babatunde Afolabi gave the assurance at a press conference held at the hospital to herald his administration.
Dr Afolabi who lauded the health initiatives of the Governor Ademola Adeleke led government in the state, said his administration will ensure total transformation of the hospital in order to serve humanity with passion and dedication.
He said the hospital will continue to provide quality health care delivery and manpower to promote the health of the people of the state in particular and Nigerians at large.
To drive home his vision for the hospital, Dr Afolabi hinted that his administration will conduct a comprehensive needs assessment to identify areas for improvement, even as it establishes a quality improvement committee to drive clinical excellence.
Also, he informed of his administration’s decision to introduce patient feedback system to enhance patient engagement and develop a strategic plan for medical education and research.
He called on all the staff of the hospital to team up with him to enhance the hospital’s reputation as a centre of excellence and foster a culture of innovation and continuous learning.
While soliciting for the support of international health organizations and well meaning individuals in the society, the CMD assured that the hospital will continue to partner with interested individuals and organizations to develop its health care services.
Also, Afolabi expressed the readiness of the hospital to support the administration of Governor Adeleke in its health reforms initiatives.
