The 2023 edition of the Future Awards Africa with themed: “Defying Odds, Celebrating Greatness,” honored those who have courageously challenged conventional norms and redefined standards within their respective fields in the past year.
Mmekidmfon Umanah was distinguished as the recipient of the Future Awards Prize for Health and Wellness at the 17th edition of the awards.
Forbes recognized the awards as the “Most Important Youth Awards,” celebrating individuals aged 18 to 31 who have achieved remarkable success in a variety of fields over the past year.
Umanah is leader, Aimcare Health. His recognition comes with grant support from major players in the global health sector, including Bill and Melinda Gates, Microsoft, MSD, Cencora, and Chemonics.
He has also served as Country Director, DOT Glasses in Nigeria. He managed a multi-million-dollar portfolio, implemented effective marketing strategies, and successfully built the brand image of the worlds most innovative and affordable prescription eyeglasses company.
Umanah’s contributions to the healthtech and social innovation sectors were recognised as the winner of the 2023 Future Awards Prize for Health and Wellness.
