Ebonyi State Governor David Umahi has congratulated the state correspondent of New Telegraph Newspaper, Mr Uchenna Inya, on his recent award as the Nigeria Media Merit Award (NMMA) Most Innovative Reporter of the year in Nigeria.
In a statement signed by his Special Assistant (SA) on Media and Strategy, Mr Chooks Okoh, Umahi described Inya as a hard-working reporter with a penchant for objectivity and professionalism.
While congratulating Mr Inya for the feat achieved, Chief Umahi enjoined him not to be carried away by his latest accomplishment but to see same as a call for greater service to humanity.
“On behalf of the people and Government of Ebonyi State, I congratulate one of our own, a seasoned Journalist, Uchenna Inya of the New Telegraph Newspaper for his latest award as the most Innovative Reporter of the year.
“Uchenna over time has been a dependable ally in the Ebonyi project whose reportage has been nothing short of professionalism in the course of his practice.
“I therefore on this occasion congratulate him and urge him to continue to do that which he knows how to do best as a golden fish no longer has a hiding place.”
