In a related development, the UK Partnering for Accelerated Climate Transitions (UK PACT) team visited the Director General/CEO of NADDC, Jelani Aliyu, in his Abuja office recently.
The team was on a on a mission to Nigeria to engage with stakeholders working towards Nigeria’s Nationally Determined Contribution (NDC), Climate Change Act, and Energy Transition Plan implementation.
NADDC is championing the development and utilisation of carbonless Electric Vehicles (EVs) and Autogas programme in Nigeria. These projects are of interest to UK PACT Team, hence the visit to the NADDC as part of their stakeholders consultative mission to the country.
Members of the team included Joseph Tyrrell, Senior UK International Climate Finance Adviser, Abdulmutalib Yussuff, UK PACT Programme Lead, and Simona Majernikova, UK PACT Skillshare Lead.
