Almost three years after its debut in 2020, The Ethnic Business Awards designed to recognise and reward entrepreneurial spirits among migrants and ethnic personalities in Nigeria as well as strengthen the mutual relationships between migrants’ community and host country is set to return for its second edition. Billed to hold at the prestigious Oriental Hotel in Lekki Lagos on Sunday, October 1, the Ethnic Business Awards 2023, according to Mr. Tunde Moshood Jr., CEO of the awards platform, is basically targeted at celebrating some of the amazing ethnic personalities, groups, corporate firms, and loyal migrants who now see and call Nigeria home, and who have evolved their lives to contribute to her business landscape.
Moshood noted that in terms of economic contributions, foreigners share a chunk percentage of the labour market both in the auto world and manufacturing, with imposing presence in energy, banking, communications and other sectors. During the evening designed to be a fusion of multi-ethnic fashion, dance, music and comedy, scores of these amazing foreigners including those in the diplomatic missions would be recognised for their unflinching support and contributions to the Nigerian economy. Some of the Awards categories include The Ethnic Man of The Year, The Ethnic Woman of The Year, Auto Company of The Year, Ethnic Financial Institution of The Year, Household Appliances Company of The Year, Electronics Company of The Year, Ethnic Group of The Year among others. There would also be some personalities to be honoured with Special Recognition in various fields.
The event, aside honouring and celebrating those migrant communities, it will also serve as a reference point for network and business interaction between topflight people of high administrative capabilities in a convivial atmosphere.
