•Commercial tricyclist murdered

A commercial tricycle operator, Mohammed, was at the weekend butchered to death by cultists in Ezinifite village, Okpuno in Awka South Local Government Area of Anambra State.
According to the residents, the victim who hails from Kogi State, was found in the pool of his blood at an uncompleted building in the area where he was attacked with an axe and other dangerous weapons.
“We got to know when we saw traces of blood on his Keke NAPEP and a dagger. We looked through the underneath of the gate of the uncompleted building and saw him in the pool of his blood. This area is usually lonely and cultists operate here very well,” they said.
The murder was coming barely two weeks after a woman, about 52, was killed by suspected ritualists in Urum community along the lonely Urum/Isuaniocha road, after St. JohnBosco Seminary in Awka North council area.
The tragedy happened around 9:30pm. Witnesses, who saw her headless body, other private parts were cut off by her killers.
The police spokesperson in the state, ASP Nkeiruka Nwode, confirmed the tragedy, saying although investigations are ongoing, preliminary findings showed that it was a case of cult killing.
