Trabzonspor’s marquee signing Mohamed Salah has become the club’s highest-paid player after agreeing to a deal worth €17 million per season, allnigeriasoccer.com reports.

According to the agreement, the Egypt legend will receive a guaranteed annual salary of €10 million plus a €7 million signing bonus, taking his total guaranteed earnings to €17 million each season.

The contract also includes performance-related bonuses, while Salah will receive 20 percent of the revenue from merchandise sold under the ‘Mohamed Salah’ name through a separate image rights agreement.

The financial package puts Salah well ahead of his Nigerian teammates in Trabzonspor’s wage structure.

Paul Onuachu earns a guaranteed annual salary of €2 million, meaning Salah’s annual earnings are 8.5 times higher than those of the Super Eagles striker.

The gap is even greater when compared with fellow Nigeria international Chibuike Nwaiwu, who earns €700,000 per season.

Based on the disclosed figures, Salah will earn more than 24 times as much as the defender.
