Minister of Works, David Umahi, has lauded President Bola Tinubu for effectively curbing the menace of herdsmen and making significant strides in unlocking the economic potential of Nigeria’s geo-political zones through strategic infrastructure investment.

Speaking in Abakaliki during an Eid-al-Adha celebration he hosted for the Hausa and Yoruba Muslim communities in Ebonyi State, Umahi emphasized the need for national unity and collective support for the president. He urged Nigerians to rally behind Tinubu’s administration, which he described as committed to sustainable development and a just, inclusive society.

Umahi expressed confidence that the president’s achievements, particularly in security and infrastructure, would resonate with the electorate and speak volumes for his leadership ahead of the 2027 general elections.

“The performances of the president will definitely see him through in 2027. We will stand with him. South East will support him. When I was governor, we had  herdsmen problems. Do you still encounter the herdsmen problem as it was? That is one thing the president has done for the people of South East.  “Today, we are being gradually integrated into the mainstream of the nation’s governance. What an Igbo man never had before, he is beginning to have it, courtesy of  the president” he said.

On the Eid-al-Adha festival, the minister described the growing interfaith relationship in Nigeria as a product of the inspiring leadership of the president which, he said, is truly inclusive and progressive.

He urged Nigerians  to leverage on the shared values of Eid-al-Adha to deepen the commitment in fostering religious tolerance and social harmony, which are the hallmarks of nation-building

Umahi conveyed his profound felicitations to the Muslim brothers and sisters on the commemoration of this year’s Eid-al-Adha celebrated all over the world.
