President–elect, Senator Bola Ahmed Tinubu, won his Ward 3 Polling Unit 085 by Shoprite, Alausa, Ikeja, for Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu in the 2023 governorship and state Assembly elections concluded yesterday.
Sanwo-Olu polled 43 votes to beat his closest rival, Gbadebo Rhodes-Vivour of the Labour Party (LP), who scored 15 votes.
Similarly, Sanwo-Olu also won his polling Unit 006, Ward E3, Eiyekole, on Lagos Island.
The governor is seeking re-election on the platform of the ruling All Progressives Congress.
In the governorship election held in his unit, the APC polled 121 votes, while the Labour Party polled two votes; the Accord Party got two votes while the PDP polled one vote.
In the state Assembly election, the APC polled 120 votes, PDP three votes, LP two votes, while the Accord Party got one vote.
Governor Sanwo-Olu who arrived at his polling unit at 10:18am and voted at 10: 22 am, urged Lagosians to remain peaceful and ensure they participated in the electoral process.
