.As VP inspects 3rd Expanded National MSME Clinics, commissions other projects

President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has approved the establishment of an ultra- modern Information and Communication Technology (ICT) Hub in Ekiti State.
Present Tinubu said that the ICT Hub will be built in Ado-Ekiti, capital of the state assuring that it would be completed within 90 days.
Tinubu who was represented by his Vice, Senator Kasshim Shettima, disclosed this during a visit to Ekiti state for the inspection of the 3rd Expanded National MSME Clinics Ekiti 2024, held on Thursday, in Ado-Ekiti.
“This expanded clinics has brought together the regulators in the sector alongside business owners and investors from various business classes across the length and breath of this nation. And we are honoured to be joined by government partners and agencies such as SMEDAN, NEXIM,ITF, and others. .
“They are here to offer guidance and provide the necessary services for the smooth operation of their businesses. Our private sector partners including, MAN, NACCIMA and many others are equally mobilized to collaborate with you in transforming your entrepreneur dream to reality. Our other MSME clinic is a fully equipped ICT hub in Eriinmope.-Ekiti.
Governor Biodun Oyebanji visited the Presidential Villa in Abuja for a briefing in preparation for the Ekiti MSME Clinics, during the meeting, he requested for the establishment of an ultra -modern ICT facility in the state capital, Ado-Ekiti.
” I have conveyed his request to His Excellency, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, who has approved the creation of an additional ICT Hub in Ado-Ekiti, which is going to be completed within 90 days.”
The VP revealed that the President has approved a sum of N150,000 non refundable grant to all exhibitors at the MSME
“Mr president has also directed that all the exhibitors at the MSME clinic today will receive a sum of N150,000 grant each .This is an outright grant and the beneficiaries will not need to repay it . We thank our partners for this.”
Shettima,however, lauded Ekiti people for given unalloyed support to their governor for him to have recorded landmark achievements within the period not up to two years in office.
During the visit,, the Vice President also commissioned the 9.2km Omisanjana- Ajebandele- Deeper Life road, in Ado-Ekiti Inauguration of Adire Ekiti Hub located along Ado- Iworoko road and the opening of Ekiti Garment and Fashion Hub in Ado-Ekiti.
Earlier, Governor Biodun Oyebanji in his speech thanked President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for the support being given to Ekiti State in its drive for development saying”we are extremely grateful for the President’s support.
President Tinubu is a very good father indeed.
“We are solidly behind the reforms being carried out by the President Bola Ahmed Tinubu-led administration because it has increased our monthly allocation, without we have been able to do do many things in the state.
Governor Oyebanji said the only challenge the State was having was the lack of access by the private sector to funds.
“Political class are one in Ekiti.
You can see the beauty of democracy here. I need the support of the opposition. So, don’t read meaning to my relationship with them. We don’t gain anything by fighting each other.”
Dignitaries who graced the occasion included the Senate Leader, Senator Michael Opeyemi Bamidele, Minister of Solid Minerals and Development, Dr Dele Alake,Traditional rulers amongst others.
