President Bola Tinubu will address Nigerians at 7am on Thursday, October 1, as the country marks its 66th Independence anniversary.
The presidential broadcast is expected to form part of activities marking Nigeria’s Independence anniversary.
According to a statement issued on Wednesday by the President’s Special Adviser on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga, the address will be broadcast live across the country.

Onanuga advised television and radio stations, as well as other electronic media outlets, to hook up to the network services of the Nigerian Television Authority (NTA) and the Federal Radio Corporation of Nigeria (FRCN) for the broadcast.
The statement, dated September 30, urged media organisations to join the national broadcast at the scheduled time.
Nigeria gained independence from British colonial rule on October 1, 1960, and will mark 66 years of independence on Thursday.
