President Bola Tinubu has demanded greater efficiency from the nation’s service chiefs and heads of security agencies, urging improved results in the fight against insecurity across Nigeria. The demand came during a closed-door session held at the Presidential Villa in Abuja on Tuesday, immediately after the launch of the Armed Forces Remembrance Day Emblem.
Chief of Defence Staff, General Olufemi Oluyede, led the security chiefs, including Chief of Army Staff, Lt General W. Shaibu; Chief of Air Staff, Air Vice Marshal Sunday Aneke; Chief of Naval Staff, Vice Admiral I. Abbas; Chief of Defence Intelligence, Lt General Akomaye Undiandeye; Director-General of the Department of State Services, Oluwatosin Ajayi; and Inspector-General of Police, Kayode Egbetokun.

The meeting lasted more than an hour behind closed doors.
Afterwards, Oluyede described the session as highly engaging, noting that the President set a new direction and issued directives to achieve better results in the battle against all forms of insecurity.
He assured Nigerians that security agencies are now better coordinated to guarantee a peaceful yuletide celebration.
