“This is not just about music, it’s about taking back control of my voice, my story, and my future.”
With those powerful words, rising Afro RnB singer Jainy Amarachi Offei—known simply as Jainy—is rewriting her narrative and reclaiming her space in the music industry. At just 20 years old, the Ghana-based artiste of Nigerian-Ghanaian heritage has signed a fresh management deal with Tripoint Talent Management, setting the stage for a bold entrance into the Nigerian music scene.
A student of Methodist University, Ghana, Jainy first captured attention during a freestyle performance on a popular reality show. Her rich vocals and magnetic presence sparked viral buzz online, with many comparing her to industry stars like Ayra Starr. But while the spotlight found her, the industry’s darker side wasn’t far behind.
During the show, Jainy shared a troubling encounter with a male figure in the industry who promised her fame—on his terms. He claimed ties to a well-known Nigerian artiste and told her that to succeed, she might have to “play her way to the top,” citing Nicki Minaj and Tiwa Savage as examples. He dangled offers of a record deal, an apartment, a passport, a UK tour, and a debut performance in Abuja—none of which ever came to pass.
“Everyone wants to take advantage of me wherever I find myself,” she said during the show, a statement that struck a chord with many young women navigating similar paths in entertainment.
But that chapter, she says, is behind her. With Tripoint Talent Management now steering her career, Jainy is stepping forward with renewed confidence and a clear artistic vision.
“I’m grateful to be working with a team that sees me not as a pawn, but as an artist with a vision,” she said.
Drawing from her personal experiences of resilience and feminine strength, Jainy’s sound blends Afro RnB with heartfelt lyrics that reflect both struggle and hope. Her debut single is scheduled for release on May 25, with appearances planned in Lagos and Accra as part of the rollout.
Born the first of four daughters, Jainy’s journey is one of grit and grace. Though the industry once tried to define her on its terms, she is now defining herself—loudly, boldly, and on her own terms.
Half Nigerian, half Ghanaian—and fully determined—Jainy is poised to be a voice for her generation.
