The pathway to heaven

Matt. 7:13-14 says, “Enter ye in at the strait gate: for wide is the gate, and broad is the way, that leadeth to destruction, and many there be which go in thereat: 14 Because strait is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it”

Brethren, there are but two ways through which mankind travels to eternity, the one that is narrow, that leads to life and salvation and the other which is broad and wide, that leads to hell and destruction. The difficulties in navigating the way to salvation make only few to walk on it. The multitude actually would wish to be in heaven at the end of their life but because, it requires effort and thought, they considered it very inconvenient to follow. On the other hand multitudes are attracted to the convenience, comfort and expediency of the broad way that leads to hell and destruction. This broad way which is widely open and smooth, allows all kinds of things on its way and it gives no check to appetites or passions of the people who walk on it. It does not matter whether you are an armed robber, kidnapper, thief, abortionist, prostitute or murderer as long as you are a sinner, you are allowed. It does not care whether you are on micro skimpy skirt or clothe that flaunts your breast. It does not matter whether the attachments on your head stretch to your legs or stop at the neck, or whether you are rich or poor, what matters most is that your name is not written in the book of life and for that reason you are allowed and given right of way. That is the reason there is a large company of people on this way.

The strait road which is the way to heaven is pent up, narrow, difficult to enter. It is constricted and not obviously entered. Thus few go there and are seen travelling in solitude and singularity.

From the scriptural context above our Lord Jesus Christ made a comparison of the pathways to heaven and hell. From that contrast one could deduce that the pathway to Heaven is not for the carefree or untroubled person neither is it a place for the halfhearted. It is not a place for fornicators, adulterers, liars, sorcerers, witches and wizards. What qualifies anybody on this pathway is their relationship with the Creator, thus, the qualification is righteousness and holiness in Christ Jesus. If you must be on this way, you must keep the body under control from riotous life and resist daily temptations.

Nothing sinful or unclean enters the strait or narrow way, including whatever that works abomination, makes a lie, or he who turns the grace of God into lasciviousness or holds and propagates false doctrines.

Rev. 21: 8 says, “But the fearful, and unbelieving, and the abominable, and murderers, and whoremongers, and sorcerers, and idolaters, and all liars, shall have their part in the lake which burneth with fire and brimstone: which is the second death”

The fearful, such that for fear of suffering disowned Jesus, and rejected the grace of God that has come for the salvation of mankind shall not be found on the strait way. The unbelievers, such as have sat under the dispensation of the gospel, but rejected our Lord Jesus Christ, and refused to come unto Him that they might have life shall not be found there. Those that do not believe in God and His great work even in Chosen, shall never be found on the pathway to heaven. The abominable, such as live in the practice of sins against nature, like sodomy, lesbianism, homosexuals, and such uncleanness that renders them abominable in the sight of God and man shall instead of being on the strait way found themselves in the lake that burns with fire and brimstone. The abominable includes those women that put on men’s clothes and vice versa as stated in the Holy Book of the Bible.

Deut. 22: 5 says, “The woman shall not wear that which pertaineth unto a man, neither shall a man put on a woman’s garment: for all that do so are abomination unto the LORD thy God”

Women who wear any of the men’s clothes have no business being on the road to heaven except they repent. Heaven is not meant for such people who disobey the Lord. Also the abominable which includes the, conspirators, druggies, pilferers, 419ners, lesbians, homosexuals and masturbators are not allowed on this way except they repent. The whore and those that patronize her, the abortionists and those that assist in such heinous crime shall not be found on the pathway to heaven except they repent. The whoremongers such as are guilty in a matrimonial state; including the fornicators, adulterers and prostitutes are not candidates of heaven and thus cannot be allowed on the road to heaven which is the narrow way.

The sorcerers, such that exercise witchcraft, and trade with familiar spirits shall not tread on the road to heaven.  The idolaters of all kinds, such as worship false gods, the palmists, diviners, covetous persons, who make the world their god, shall not be found on this narrow way because they cannot be accommodated on the strait way to heaven except they repent. All hypocrites no matter how wealthy they might be shall not enter into the pathway to heaven.

I don’t know the wickedness you are into, neither do I know how long you have been engaged in such unholy act nor who introduce you into it but what I want to let you know is that the unrighteous and wicked shall not enter into the pathway that goes to heaven except they repent. The way to destruction and death maybe alluring but we should understand that its end leads to the lake that burns with fire. No believer should desire to follow the broad way irrespective of the ugly challenges he or she is encountering in life.

Our Lord Jesus Christ has admonished us to strive to enter into the narrow way in order to ensure we do not miss heaven. Thus we have to be diligent, active, and earnest and should make our choice of a narrow way our first and chief business by resisting all sinful propensities and accepting Jesus Christ as our Lord and Saviour.

Lk 13: 23-24 says, “Then said one unto him, Lord, are there few that be saved? And he said unto them, 24 Strive to enter in at the strait gate: for many, I say unto you, will seek to enter in, and shall not be able”

Beloved, the pathway to heaven is meant for prepared people and not for carefree Christian. If you want to make it to heaven, you must strive to enter the strait way while you have opportunity, and before it shall be too late.
