In July 2016, a deadly cult gang emerged in the remote area of Ibeshe, on the outskirt of Ikorodu, Lagos state, Nigeria.
The deadly group is popularly known as Badoo Cult also referred to Bandits or Terrorists unleashed widespread terror in the state. They brutally murder innocent people including women, children and pregnant women, leaving residents and the whole state in constant fear.
On 30th November 2016, one Mr Adekunle Michael Ogunniyi a tax Administrator employed by Lagos State Internal Revenue service (LIRS) at the time narrated how the deadly gang called Badoo ruin his life and his carrier.
On that day, while returning from a church programme at the Redeemed Christian Church Of God (Goodness and Mercy Parish)Ibeshe, Ikorodu, his car developed overheating fault, he parked by the road side to allow the radiator to cool before adding water, while waiting inside his car, he noticed a suspicious movement of a man entering a nearby bush.

Due to ongoing terror activities of the deadly Badoo cult known Bandits in Ikorodu, at a time, he became suspicious and quietly followed the man who is the one the members Badoo terrorist group.
Upon reaching their hideout in a remote outskirt area of Ikorodu, Mr Ogunniyi observed approximately forty (40) to fifty (50) men, he saw them removing their clothes and rubbing their bodies with black oil and grease, apparently to make it difficult for anyone to apprehend them.
He also observed various weapons in their possession including Ak 47 Rifles, Dane gun, Cutlass, Charms, Voodoo objects and Motorcycles which they used to move around the town.
On the 1st of December 2016, he reported the case to the police and provided detailed description of the leader of the gang.
However, on the 2nd of December 2016, Mr Ogunniyi ambushed while returning home. During the attack one of the assailant said that he was the person that report them to the police. At that moment Mr Ogunniyi realized that some of the police officers were collaboration and member of the gang and equally supplying them information. He was brutally attacked by the deadly gang called Badoo and sustained severe injuries, to save his life he pretended to be dead, after the attackers left he called for help and was taken by good Samaritan to Ikorodu general hospital for treatment.
Mr Ogunniyi sustained serious injuries, deep machete wound in his head, fractured chest and ribs and multiple bruises all over his body. While he was still hospitalized on the 15th December 2016 his house was raided and burned down by this Badoo terrorist group. He spent approximately twenty-nine (29) days in the hospital.
After he was discharged from the hospital he could not resume his normal life, he was leaving in fear because he continuously received death treat on a call and his movement was always monitored. During this period the Badoo terrorist killed his sister husband named Mr Jamiu Alimi while searching for him.
In an attempt to save his life and that of his family from the deadly gang Badoo bandits, Mr Ogunniyi move from place to place.
The gang traced him to his sister residence which led to the death of her husband in 20th of January 2017. Mr Ogunniyi later stayed with his colleague and his brother in-law in Abeokuta Ogun State, where the wife of his brother in-law was also tortured and injured.
At a time, Mr Ogunniyi wants to commit suicide because the treating was just too much before he finally relocated to United state of America and his family to Ghana at a time for safety.
