Tanker explosion: FRSC diverts traffic on Lagos-Ibadan expressway

From Laide Raheem, Abeokuta

The Ogun State Command of the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) has announced the diversion of traffic on the Lagos-Ibadan expressway as a result of an early morning tanker explosion.

The explosion, according to the Safety Public Education Officer (SPEO) in the command, Florence Okpe, which involved a bus, occurred at the Araromi town before the Interchange on the highway.

She urged motorists to make use of alternative routes to avoid unnecessary delay, as the rescue operation was still on and the people involved were yet to be confirmed.

“The crash scene conned to avoid a secondary crash and traffic has been diverted.

“Motorists are advised to remain calm and cooperate with traffic managers managing the situation”, she stated.
