Sultan of Sokoto, Alhaji Sa’ad Abubakar III has commiserated with business mogul, Chief Emeka Offor over the death of his father, Chief Bennett Onwudiegwu Offor.
He described the late Offor as “someone who lived for others” and recalled that “the deceased was noted for his service to humanity and commitment to Christian activities.”
The Sultan said this in a condolence message to Chief Emeka Offor while the remains of the deceased has been buried at his Oraifite, Anambra home.
Emphasising that the late Offor lived an exemplary life, the Sultan said: “May we be consoled by the fact that, until his death, he lived a good Christian life worthy of emulation.
“He was a paragon of hard work and compassion, with a strong and unflinching commitment to the progress of his community and society at large.”
The Sultan praised Emeka for taking after “his father in the area of service to humanity, particularly lauding the philanthropic activities of the businessman.”
