The 20 Local Government Chairmen of the African Democratic Congress (ADC) in Lagos State  have passed a vote of confidence on the state chairman of the party, George Ashiru and his team, ahead of the upcoming congress of the party in April.

Rising from a crucial meeting earlier today at the National Stadium, Surulere, the chairmen reviewed the state of the nation, the upcoming congresses and convention of the party and reaffirmed their confidence in the Ashiru-led executive committee.

Speaking for the chairman, Ugochukwu Anaere, stated: “We, the entire Local Government Chairmen of ADC in Lagos, hereby, attest to the positive leadership roles of our State Executive Committee led by George Ashiru.

“For their untiring efforts at stabilising the party, welcoming all coalition partners and ensuring equity and transparent governance of the ADC Lagos, we hereby pass a vote of confidence in George Ashiru and his team.

“We thank our State Chairman for being a good role model, a fair leader, a superb mediator and conflict resolver, a true father to the party and a detribalised Nigerian and we want to appreciate his principle-centred servant-leadership model, which inspires us to do better and do more in the interest of the party and the country.”

All the 20 chairmen were present and they all signed the solidarity document.
