Exhibitors from across the globe have shown delight for the outcome of the 2024 Beauty West Africa show which is taking place at the Landmark Centre, Victoria Island, Lagos.

The three-day event in it’s seventh edition, which commenced on Tuesday,  26th of November, 2024 welcomed cosmetics and hair industries.  The event showcased more than 300 exhibitors from around the world while a free-to-attend conference, seminars, demonstrations, and product launches were also staged. There was also a spotlight on Nigeria and West Africa’s beauty SMEs.

The conference organized by BtoB Event featured numerous key experts from the beauty industry. A highlight was a keynote speech titled “The Importance of Standards and Public-Private Collaboration in Nigeria’s Beauty Industry,” delivered by Ifeanyi Chukwunonso Okeke, the Director General of the Standards Organisation of Nigeria (SON). The event also marked the official inauguration of the new Beauty West Africa “Leaders Club.” Ezinne Alfa, the founder of Beauty In Lagos, warmly welcomed visitors and facilitated several panel sessions throughout the conference.

Alfa in her words: “It’s obvious exhibitors are delighted to be here and we’re also on the ground to display what they love to see. My outfit is an online digital visual platform and we’re partnering with Beauty West Africa for the promotion of the show. We’re responsible for everything that happens here including the panel topic, keynote speech and others. One of the things we’re going to be talking about is the beauty stakeholders forum which means calling together all stakeholders and table issues hindering the growth of the sector. Last year, we had a keynote from the DG of Standard Organisation of Nigeria and a discussion on that led them to establish National Technical Beauty Care Services I can assure you those are the members that will be here today to discuss further the show. What we’ve noticed is the beauty sector has often been overlooked and I’m glad the exhibition will help revive it and build the momentum we know that we have. Shows like this are very important because it’s a once-in-a-year opportunity for stakeholders in the business to gather, share ideas and engage in several discussions. Beauty business owners are busy people who own saloons, nails and other cosmetics shops and giving them an opportunity of this magnitude will certainly make them proud and happy,” she stated.

Stressing more on the positivity of the show, Egyptian Sales Manager and Expo consultant, Ramy Ahmed stated the event will help promote the country’s image before foreign investors while Regional Director, MPOC, Theventharan Batumalai also expressed himself in a similar vein.

“ I can categorically tell you this has been one of the largest exhibitions have witnessed. I mean what can one say about a show which brings over 300 exhibitors to a certain venue here in Nigeria? I can see several pavilions showcasing eye-catching products and I’m happy mine is also here for people to see,” Ahmed narrated.
