In a spirited show of strength and solidarity, the Nigeria Customs Service (NCS) Zone B Headquarters joined sister security agencies in a symbolic Tug of War competition held at the Nigerian Air Force Air Training Command, Kaduna.
The friendly contest, which took place on Friday, May 30, 2025, marked the grand finale of the 2025 Headquarters’ Air Training Command Intra-Command Sports Competition.
The event aimed to promote inter-agency collaboration and camaraderie among Nigeria’s security and paramilitary forces.
According the Superintendent of Customs Dikko Magaji, the Zonal Public Relations Officer, the NCS team was led by Assistant Comptroller Muhammad Aliyu.
They competed alongside teams from the Nigeria Police Force, Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC), and the Department of State Services (DSS).
The Zonal Coordinator of NCS Zone B, Assistant Comptroller General (ACG) Adekunle Oloyede, was in attendance as a special guest.
The Tug of War, sandwiched between other athletic events, served as a symbolic demonstration of teamwork, resilience, and mutual respect among the participating agencies.
In his closing remarks, the Air Officer Commanding (AOC) of the Air Training Command, Air Vice Marshal (AVM) Ahmed Yusuf Dari, congratulated the winners and encouraged others to remain steadfast, saying, “tomorrow is another day.”
He also expressed appreciation for the participation of various paramilitary agencies, noting that their presence added colour, vibrancy, and significance to the occasion.
