Governor Okezie Ikpeazu has called for calm following the disturbances which took place last week in some parts of Ohafia in the Ohafia Local Government Area of Abia State.
The army has vowed to ensure that criminal elements in Ohafia and its environs were eradicated within the shortest possible time.
Ikpeazu in a statement said he was deeply saddened by reports of loss of lives in the incident.
The governor who said he was shocked by the reckless display of disregard for human lives, sent his condolences to the families of the deceased persons.
