SMEs: NPA distributes generator sets to 35 artisans in Osun

The Nigeria Port Authority (NPA), on Saturday distributed electricity generating sets to 35 artisans in Osun State as part of its Corporate Social Responsibility and to boost small-scale businesses.

The empowerment was facilitated by the Executive Director, Marine and Operation of the Nigeria Port Authority (NPA), Engr. Olalekan Badmus.

The beneficiaries, who were carefully selected from artisans that mostly needed the generator set, were drawn from different local government areas in the state.

Speaking at Ayetoro, Osogbo, during the distribution, Badmus explained that the distribution of the 2.5KVA generating set was to promote small and medium-scale enterprises.

Represented by the chairman of the Local Organising Committee, Dr Damilare Adeyemi, Badmus said, “We are giving back to society. We have shared 35 2.5KVA generating set before. The aim is to ensure that assistance is given to artisans and business owners, which will help boost the economy directly or indirectly.”
