Niniola Apata, a well-known musician, has responded to reports that she is secretly married.
There were rumours that the ‘Maradona’ singer’s retreat from the spotlight was due to a marriage.
In a recent interview with Yanga FM Lagos, Niniola confirmed that she is not yet married.
She debunked the speculations that she was keeping her marriage secret for it not to affect her career or bookings.
The 38-year-old said, “I don’t care whatever anyone does or says [regarding my personal life]. After all, I’m not a 12-year-old. I’m old enough to say whatever it is I want to say with my full chest. I’m not married.”
Niniola explained why she has yet to work with her younger sister, singer Teni, saying it must happen at the right moment and under the right circumstances.
She underlined that music is business, and there is no family in business.
