The Nigeria Football Federation will celebrate Super Eagles forward Moses Simon if he steps out against Madagascar on Friday, a game that would make him a centurion for Nigeria in the 2027 Africa Cup of Nations qualifier.
The fleet-footed winger made his senior debut on 25th March 2015 and has 99 caps and 12 goals to date. The Super Eagles have won 49 of the games he played in, drawn 30 and lost 20.
Simon has featured in 64 competitive matches and 35 friendlies for Nigeria. That includes 23 matches at the AFCON finals and 22 FIFA World Cup qualifiers.

One of his earliest moments in green and white came in the 2018 World Cup preliminary qualifier against Swaziland. After a goalless draw in Mbabane, the Eagles needed to win the return leg in Port Harcourt to stay in the race. With the game dragging towards the end, Simon struck a 22-yard free-kick straight into the net to set up a 2-0 win.
“I can testify that Moses Simon is an incredible player and a wonderful human being, having related with him at close quarters for several years. He is a patriot to the core, and forever passionate and dedicated to the Nigeria cause.
The NFF celebrates him on this special occasion and wish him many more caps with the Super Eagles,” Ikpeme said on Thursday.
