Senator representing Imo East Senatorial District in the National Assembly, Ezenwa Onyewuchi, has urged global investors to take advantage of the conducive business environment prevailing in his jurisdiction to invest in areas of their choice.
According to the lawmaker, existing investors and potential investors can explore the vast opportunities abound in the local government areas that make up the district.
The lawmaker, who made the call when he received a China-based businessman, Mr. Kalu Orji and his team, in Abuja, described Imo East Senatorial District as an investment haven with several opportunities.
According to him, such areas include agro-based and agro-allied industries or factories, Information and Communications Technology, hospitality and tourism, fishery, maize processing industries, chemical industries, gas, among others.
He reiterated his commitment to ensuring that youths and women in the Senatorial District are given the much needed incentives and atmosphere to thrive and attain a new level of social status, noting that “critical youth investment is a panache for national development and advancement.”
Onyewuchi promised to facilitate proper access to quality healthcare system, incorporate more women into the fold, empowering them to be self-sufficient and also ensuring they are well represented in the political cum leadership roles.
Responding, Mr. Orji, who was accompanied by the APC House of Assembly candidate for Ohafia North State Constituency in Abia State, Otuwe Orji, promised to collaborate with the lawmaker to equip and empower youths and women from Imo East Senatorial District, for national development and advancement.
