The General Overseer of the Lord’s Chosen Charismatic Revival Ministry, Pastor Lazarus Muoka, has urged Nigerians to return to God and seek His mercy during these challenging times.
Speaking at the Mgbidi International Crusade in Imo State, Muoka emphasised that the ongoing economic crisis in Nigeria is not isolated but part of a global phenomenon. He called on people to hold fast to their faith and trust in God’s unchangeable word, especially in the face of hardship.
The four-day crusade, themed: “What God has determined shall be done,” returned to Mgbidi after a four-year break due to insecurity in the South East.
Pastor Muoka explained that holding the event in his hometown was symbolic, allowing those from the region to attend without traveling long distances to Lagos. He highlighted the significance of returning to one’s spiritual roots – a concept he likened to the biblical “Bethel,” a place of divine encounter.
During his address, Muoka stressed that economic difficulties should serve as a wake-up call for people to seek God’s intervention and mercy. According to him, the solution to the challenges people face lies in understanding God’s program for the end times.
“The important thing we should know is the program of God in this end time,” he said. “We should seek His mercy and draw closer to Him. The economic crisis is not peculiar to Nigeria; it is a global issue.”
Muoka urged Nigerians to resist discouragement and remain steadfast in their faith, despite the harsh realities of life. He advised believers to hold onto their trust in God and His promises rather than giving up on their spiritual journey.
He reminded the congregation that no one can alter what God has decreed. “Would anyone go to heaven and change what God has decreed?” he asked rhetorically, drawing a resounding “No” from the crowd. His message was clear: God’s word is unshakable and His promises will come to pass.
The crusade witnessed a wave of testimonies, with participants sharing stories of miraculous healing, deliverance, and transformation. One of the most touching stories came from Esther Benyah, a young girl from the Western Region of Ghana, who shared her painful journey, recounting how she became a prostitute at the age of 14 after her parents separated. Left to fend for herself, she turned to prostitution as a means of survival.
However, her life took a dramatic turn when a retired teacher heard her story and decided to intervene. The teacher took her in, provided her with shelter, and sponsored her education. Today, at 16 years old, Esther is back in school, attending ADISEC School in Ghana. She also revealed that her parents had reconciled, giving her a renewed sense of hope and belonging.
In her testimony, Esther encouraged other young people to avoid the path of evil and trust in God’s providence. “God will care for you and meet your needs,” she said. “Don’t join evil.” Her story resonated deeply with the audience, serving as a powerful reminder of God’s transformative power.
The crusade’s first night was marked by miraculous healing, including that of a 50-year-old man who had been deaf and mute for several years. After prayers led by Pastor Muoka, the man was able to hear and speak clearly. His healing was confirmed through several tests, leaving the congregation in awe of God’s power.
Pastor Muoka took the opportunity to remind the attendees that the miracles they witnessed were proof of God’s unwavering authority. He urged them to hold onto the promises made during the crusade and to trust that what God has determined will surely come to pass.
“What God has determined shall be done. Every pronouncement made by the servant of God will come to pass because the authority has been given to him,” Muoka declared. He encouraged participants to meditate on the messages they had received, pray fervently, and claim the blessings and promises of God for their lives.
The return of the Mgbidi Crusade after a four-year break was seen as a sign of divine intervention and hope for spiritual revival in the region. The event brought together thousands of worshippers from across Nigeria and beyond, reinforcing the message that God’s power remains unchangeable, even in uncertain times.
Muoka concluded his sermon with a call for believers to “return to Bethel” — a symbolic appeal for people to reconnect with their faith and encounter God on a deeper level. He emphasized that the journey of faith requires perseverance, especially in challenging times.
“We are in the end times. It is time to fight the good fight of faith and remain rooted in God’s word. The trials of life should not discourage us from holding onto our faith. Instead, they should draw us closer to God.”
The Mgbidi Crusade, once again, served as a beacon of hope for many, rekindling faith and reinforcing the message that God’s word is final and unchangeable. Through powerful sermons, life-changing testimonies, and miraculous healings, the event left participants with a renewed sense of purpose and faith in God’s plan.
Muoka’s message of hope and perseverance resonated deeply with the crowd, reminding them that, no matter how difficult life gets, God’s promises remain true. He called on Nigerians to trust in God, draw closer to Him, and find strength in His unshakable word.
As the crusade came to an end, attendees left with renewed faith, hopeful that what God has determined for their lives will surely come to pass.
