Urges security agencies, policymakers, stakeholders to work harmoniously for electoral transparency, fairness

The chairman of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), Joash Ojo Amupitan, has charged the federal government to ensure a secure environment, stating that it is foundational for the success of electoral processes and Nigeria’s progress.
The electoral umpire boss issued the warning when he received the alumni of the Association of Institute of Studies (AANIS) on a courtesy visit at the commission’s headquarters in Abuja.
He assured that INEC remains committed to conducting free, fair and credible elections, leveraging innovative approaches and strengthened collaborations.

In his remarks, the electoral umpire boss said, “As Nigeria continues to deepen its democratic process, ensuring credible elections remains a foremost priority. These elections are the bedrock of our democracy, and their integrity directly impacts our national security.
