Stormy session expected today as the Code of Conduct Tribunal, CCT, convenes to commence trial of the Senate President Dr Bukola Saraki.
As the court convenes Ajibola Oluyede counsel representing the Senate President, brought a motion asking tribunal chairman to disqualify himself from trial on account of his investigation by EFCC. Meanwhile tribunal is yet to commence sitting.
Tribunal ignores Saraki, commence trial of Godswill Orubebe
Tribunal reverses self. To take Saraki’s case first in view of seniority of counsel. Directs Orubebe to step out of the dock. There was altercation between Orubebe’s lawyer, and tribunal members over the reversal. Meanwhile, Saraki has entered the dock for his trial.
