History was again made on October 11, 2022 at the Eko Hotels Victoria Island as the Executive Governor of Lagos State, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, in the first fire chat session at the EHINGBETI Lagos Economic Summit 2022 served as the moderator of the panel featuring young and prominent entrepreneurs including the Chief Executive of Salpha Energy Limited, Miss Sandra Chukwudozie among others.

The Ehigbenti Summit, which is an annual summit, held in Nigeria’s commercial capital of Lagos features economic and finance experts from public and private sectors who come to deliberate on the paths to the sustainable socio-economic growth of Lagos State.

This year’s EHINGBETI 2022 conference themed Lagos 2022-2052: Charting the Paths to Sustainable Socio-economic growth saw young pacesetters like the clean and renewable energy advocate Sandra Chukwudozie. In his over one hour power packed interaction with his five man panelists, the Executive Governor sought to know from the panelists their perception about Lagos state and the driving force that wakes them up in the morning and resonates with them?

In her response to the Governor, Sandra Chukwudozie, the 2022 class of Forbes 30 under 30 recipient shared how her passion towards making a change via the campaign for alleviation of energy poverty and patronage of cleaner energy through solar saw her walk away from a promising career at the United Nations.

She continued with her many challenges and mistakes on this journey of self fulfilment which she called her learning curves that ultimately paved way to her success as an entrepreneur and breaking into the renewal energy market in Nigeria. An experience that “brought out the diamond in her”. Responding on what she loves most about Lagos, she disclosed that Lagos indeed taught her how to “survive and thrive” and “where other people saw challenges I saw opportunities, Lagos brought out the audacity in me”
