A coalition of Nigerian youths has expressed strong support for the 2023 presidential ambition of former Vice President, Alh Atiku Abubakar.
The youths believed that Atiku will right the wrong of President Muhammadu Buhari who failed in addressing the ravaging security challenges, economic turbulence and poverty that has taken tall across the country.
Chairman of the Youths committee, Comrade Tongak Joseph in a communique after a meeting in Jos said the youths aligned with Atiku’s ambition due to his doggedness and pragmatic leadership that has impacted positively on Nigerians.
“The youth committee is to galvanize support to our father, Chief Raymond Dokpesi to champion Atiku’ Abubakar for his presidential bid on 2023.
“The youths committee will soon commence on tour to appeal to respected party leaders and elders across the country to support Atiku’ Abubakar for his presidential ambition in the interest of Nigeria and vibrant youths of this country.”
They expressed optimism that Nigerians will be better with Atiku, saying that the future of Nigerians cannot be risked in the hands of APC as they have proven that the country is bigger than them.
“Atiku Abubakar’s credentials as a strong believer in uniting Nigeria and his commitment to democracy and good governance, and as an experienced man, he will revitalize the economy, alleviate poverty, eliminate corruption and build a strong united and stable country.”
The youths expressed disappointment in the lopsided leadership style of President Muhammadu Buhari and said with Atiku Abubakar, Nigeria will bounce back in unity through robust infrastructural development.
“Insecurity, economic and political problems had heightened ethnic awareness and religious fundamentalism, leaving Nigeria constantly threatened with disintegration outside the country.”
They said that the reputation of the country has been badly damaged by the doctorship of the President Muhammadu Buhari led APC government.
