Richie Music Empire, a new record label founded by music executive and entrepreneur Don Richie, has set its sights on shaping the future of Afrobeats.
With a vision to drive innovation and creativity in the Nigerian music industry, Don Richie believes his label is poised to play a pivotal role in defining the next chapter of the globally recognized genre.
“I established Richie Music Empire to provide a platform for talented artists to showcase their skills and reach a wider audience. The Nigerian music industry is ripe for innovation, and now is the perfect time to make a bold move,” Don Richie told Entertainer.
Ritchie Music Chief Executive, Don Ritchie, said his label is focused on nurturing new talent and setting trends that will influence the sound of Afrobeats in the years to come.
He also revealed that one of the label’s missions is artist development, with a personalized approach to helping artists grow. “Our goal is to provide a supportive environment where artists can thrive creatively,” Don Richie explained. “We’re not just looking for success; we’re focused on creating long-lasting careers by offering top-notch production, promotion, and a unique space for artists to express themselves freely.”
The label has already signed two rising stars, Blaqmanta and Ranti, whose styles align with the label’s vision of shaping the future of Afrobeats. Don Richie praised the duo’s talent and work ethic, saying, “They have the potential to define the next wave of Afrobeats, and we’re excited to see where their journey with Richie Music Empire takes them.”
