Remo International Youth Day 2026

The Remo Growth and Development Foundation (RGDF), in partnership with the Remo Youth Association (RYA), has announced the 3rd edition of the Remo International Youth Day Celebration, scheduled to hold on Thursday, 27th August 2026, at the Akarigbo Palace Hall, Sagamu, by 10:00 a.m.

The announcement was conveyed in a Thursday statement signed by Media and Publicity Secretary, Remo International Youth Day 2026, Comrade Babatunde Abraham Ogunsanya.

According to the organisers, this year’s celebration themed, “Youth Empowerment for a Sustainable Future,” underscores the importance of equipping young people with the knowledge, skills, and opportunities required to drive sustainable development and contribute meaningfully to society.

“The annual programme is the brainchild of the Directorate of Education and Youth Empowerment, one of the strategic directorates under the Remo Growth and Development Foundation (RGDF), headed by Dr. Mrs. Ronke Soyombo.

“The Foundation is led by its Governing Council Chairman, Otunba Seni Adetu, whose commitment to the socio-economic advancement of Remoland continues to inspire transformative initiatives aimed at developing the region and its people,” the statement reads in part.

Since its inception, the Remo International Youth Day Celebration has served as a strategic platform for inspiring, educating, and empowering young people across Remoland while fostering innovation, leadership, entrepreneurship, and community development.

The maiden edition, held in August 2024 at Apostolic Church Grammar School, Iperu, focused on Agriculture as a catalyst for economic growth and youth empowerment.

The event attracted over 1,300 participants and was graced by the Paramount Ruler of Remoland, Oba (Dr.) Babatunde Adewale Ajayi, CFR, Torungbuwa II, the Akarigbo and Paramount Ruler of Remoland, alongside the Executive Governor of Ogun State, Prince Adedapo Oluseun Abiodun, CON, among other distinguished personalities.

The second edition was successfully hosted in Isara, further consolidating the vision of the organisers to create a vibrant platform for youth engagement and capacity development across Remoland.

This year’s edition, the third in the series, will focus on Artificial Intelligence (AI) as a transformative force for the future. Discussions will explore how AI is reshaping education, entrepreneurship, governance, innovation, agriculture, healthcare, and employment, while exposing participants to the opportunities and responsibilities that come with emerging technologies.

The objective is to empower young people with practical knowledge that will enable them to remain relevant and competitive in the rapidly evolving digital economy.

The organisers invite students, youths, entrepreneurs, professionals, traditional institutions, educational institutions, policymakers, development partners, and the general public to participate in this landmark event as Remoland joins the global community in celebrating the resilience, creativity, and limitless potential of young people.
