From Priscilla Ediare, Ado Ekiti

Prophet Sam Olu-Alo, the planter of Christ Apostolic Church, Adamimogo Grace of Mercy Prayer Mountain Worldwide, has called on President Bola Tinubu to make it a point of duty to assess the performances of those appointed by his government, especially the ministers.

The Prophet who advised that the President should appraise them from time to time, noted that it will help him to know those appointees that are performing and those that are not performing.

The cleric noted that proper and regular assessment of the.appointees will help them to be productive in their respective positions and assist in actualising his government’s renewed hope agenda for the people of the country.

He also urged the President not to loose focus of why he was elected to oversee the affairs of the country, noting that the people’s eyes are steadily on him and his government, hence, there should be no room for any insensitivity.

The renowned man of God made the remarks in Lagos State during the Adamimogo global convention of the ministry with the theme: “Weep No More”

The one-week event brought together thousands of Christian faithful from across the world. It featured prayers, word rendition, prophetic ministration, and donation of free eye glasses.
Also, over 1,000 youths were trained in various vocational skills and 200 youths were empowered with tools, cash and capital to be self reliant.

He disclosed that people came from USA, Canada, Europe, UK and all other parts of the world to be part of the event. “Over 300 participants came from abroad that is how they have been coming. So all our programmes have reasons for why they are being held.”

According to him, “This is because, some people have good intentions, when they give something to people and never ask about how the thing is faring, that the country will remain the same without any growth and development.

“What is giving our country serious problems is that people are being appointed without asking them to give account of their stewardship. Like the story of the unprofitable servant in the Bible who failed to make use of the talent given to him like others, it was collected from him.

“40 per cent of those appointed by the President to work with him may not really share the President’s vision, that is the reason why he must assess them so that they will be successful in their respective positions.

“God told me if our leader refused to assess and appraise them from time to time, his government may not live up to the expectation of the people who voted him into power. He has good intentions and plans for Nigerians but failure to assess those working with him properly may work against his government moving forward.”

Commenting on the 2024 budget, Prophet Olu-Alo said, “In my own view, the N27.5 Trillion 2024 budget is good but there are no funds to finance it as far as am concerned. That is the reason I said he should closely monitor the projects to be embarked upon.

“I want to counsel the federal government to put in place a law regarding all they intend to do in the budget. Our major challenge in this country is that, there are no functional laws.

“If there are laws in place, on what they want to use the public funds for, if they borrow money and people see it that they are doing what they say they want to do this year, the citizens will be happy. But our people always use their mouths to present budgets and its implementation will amount to nothing, because the work given to the contractors may not be executed. When they are mobilized they know that nobody will come back to monitor their work or ask about how far they have gone about it.

“So, I don’t think the budget is too much but my fear is what is it that we are going to get out of it and that is what our government needs to think about.”

Advising Nigerian youths to wait on God for what is good for them and be hardworking he said, “A lazy pastor can’t go far in the work of the ministry. People like them will say a wealthy man cannot make heaven, but not like Abraham. We haven’t gotten to heaven but what bible is telling us is there and Lazarus is in the bosom of God but he was a poor man in the world.
Abraham did the will of God while on earth and that helped him to get there.

“Also, they shouldn’t join occultic groups because of wealth. Don’t help God, He is the one doing signs and wonders. Youths have great future ahead of them, they shouldn’t be sitting in churches. Not that God don’t answer prayers, but what are you doing through which God can answer your prayers. You have no formal or informal education and you are expecting to get money, such a person will end up to be a thief.”

He said God:has used the ministry for people to know that they can go to the church and become somebody in life.

“I have trained about 1,000 youths for vocational and skills acquisition and about 200 of them were given starter pack and are well established now. I am happy because they are self-reliant now. They will know what to pray about because they have a vocation now.

“Also, there is a lot of soul-winning with people accepting Jesus as their Lord and saviour. Thirdly, God did beyond my expectations because he used this Programme to satisfy us both spiritually and physically.”

Prophet Olu-Alo also urged wealthy people in the country to assist and support the less- privileged.

“Of a truth, most churches don’t have much, but my advise is that, those that are blessed by God in the church should try and assist the poor and the needy. What we need to know is that most churches that give do not really have but they just have the spirit of giving. Take me as an example, it is not that I have much but it is something that I have to do and put issues concerning my brethren first.

“Some of them are also doing their bit but they are not doing it for everyone to see and we must appreciate them too. God has not impressed it on some to do. Even those that are not of the do give when God impress it on them to do.

“I want to admonish everyone to cultivate the habit of giving because it is the mystery behind blessing. It is God’s command. I want to enjoin all men of God to keep to sowing seeds in terms of giving because they may not know the one that will germinate and bear fruit.”

Speaking on the theme of the Convention “Weep No More”, Prophet Sam Ojo (Omoloju Jesu Baba Authority) of Freedom Apostolic Revival International Ministry(FARIM) Ori- Oke Ogo Asejire,Ibadan, Oyo State said in the absence of weeping no one will not appreciate laughter.

“All the nations that are laughing now had wept at a point in time. What Nigeria is presently going through is an indication that better days are ahead. So, every pain always brings gains. All Nigerians should be hopeful and be positive about this . When the storm is raging in the Bible it means a glorious times is around the corner.

“The bible recorded that, when Jesus was in the ship and there was a great storm, he stilled the storm. Nigeria is about to cross to another level and so we should be expecting great laughter by God’s grace.”

He identified selfish interest as one of the major problems of the country on the part of the politicians, urging them to love the citizenry and prioritise their interests.

“All those God has giving the opportunity of serving the people, they should serve them sincerely with one heart and they will be blessed for it because all the things we do have their repercussions.

“I want to appeal to our politicians to serve the people and not ‘eat up’ the nation. I equally want to advise all Nigerians to love one another, their country and God.”

The cleric urged President Tinubu not to change his good plans and intentions for Nigerians.

“Whenever people get to the position of authority, there are lots of admonition, he should remember the reason for which he contested the presidential election. God will help him to bring it to fruition.”
