Dr Suzanne Soliman is a woman pharmacist, mother, wife, trailblazer and focused on public health, women and leadership. She has earned her PharmD from the University of Illinois at Chicago college of pharmacy. Her areas of interest are parenting, women’s health, assessment and professional development.
Dr Soliman has completed a residency in primary care with an emphasis on education at Midwestern University Chicago College of Pharmacy and a teaching fellowship at UIC College of Medicine. She is also a board-certified medical affairs specialist who has worked as a clinical pharmacist, independent pharmacy owner, a medical science liaison. Not only till this but also, she was a national field team educator prior to becoming an Assistant Dean of Academic Affairs at UIC-COP. Now, Suzanne is the Chief Academic officer for the Accreditation Council for Medical Affairs and has faculty appointments at the University of Illinois at Chicago, Rutgers University and St. John’s University.
In 2018, Dr Soliman served on the local board of health in Bergen County NJ. In 2019, She won the Rufus A. Lyman Award recipient which is granted for the best manuscript published in the American Journal of Pharmacy Education and along with this, she was a recipient of the Next Generation Pharmacist Civic Leader Award. Dr Suzanne will keep on impressing everyone and achieving success with hard work and consistency.
Dr Soliman loves to spend time with her husband and children, cooking, baking and eating. Her biggest support system has been her family and friends. She has faced a lot of ups and downs in her journey but she never quit moving on forward to her goal. She says, “When I first had kids, I thought I could continue working at the same pace and do everything exactly the same. It was a reality check as I then needed my “tribe”, support, my husband and many others to get me through. You can’t have it all at the same time and you have to learn how to prioritize at different times.”
She always finds a balance between both work life and family life and she believes that one should live their life to the fullest and follow their dreams. Her achievements and work have been recognised and featured by media outlets like The New York Times, ABC7NY, Daily Voice, “New York Magazine ”, “Crain’s Chicago Business’ ‘, “Time Out Chicago’ ‘.
